I was so excited when I heard I was going to South Australia to photograph a wedding, it is a wedding destination I haven’t been to, the feeling of excitement every time I see new places was perhaps the best feeling I have since I woke up that morning, I am very very excited to photograph a location that is new to me. It was 39 degrees that day and I have 9 hours and 30 minutes to drive. Driving town after town, the anticipation to reach the destination is getting higher and higher, hills after hills, trees after trees. I was listening to Spotify along the way but it was not  a good idea because there are areas that doesn’t have service, no 4G nor 3G, black spot,  so I decided to turn the app off and enjoy the silence. Beautiful sceneries kept me amused, seen some places that I would like to bring the family to come back and see.

When I arrived at the location I was surprised to find out that it was over looking the Jacob’s Creek winery, and it is only 5 minutes away from where I am staying. Novotel Barossa Valley was very hospitable and they made sure that my stay was pleasant as possible. Michael from the reception was very helpful, yes I remembered his name. That morning I found that they have a very good running tracks for people like me who loves running and exploring. I highly recommend this place for families, couples or even singles who wants to get away from noisy and crowded city, for those who loves their wine, wineries are just around the corner too.

Thomas is a baker who now works with the family business, Virginia used to live in Albury/Wodonga but moved to Adelaide to live with her dad. When I met these two Virginia was wearing a sling as she had an injured shoulder but I as happy to see that she wasn’t wearing it on her wedding day. I found out that the shoulder is getting better by the time of writing this post, good news!

The day was a perfect day for a wedding, it’s not raining, it’s not so hot either. well… yeah it was hot! sweat and blisters doesn’t come good together, and clouds? hmmm not so much of them too. Slowly but surely the day finished with people full of smiles and love around, the food, the wine and the music all went perfectly for the couple. I even had the best time. And if you ask me if I would do it again? The answer is a big YES, I WILL!.
